Vessels are retrofitted with a number of moonpools incorporating oscillating water columns into the body of the vessel. The vessel is partially submerged, ballasted, and moored offshore. As the waves rise and fall in the OWC chamber, the air in the chamber acts on a turbine to produce clean renewable electricity.
